For Today (Tuesday): Please make sure that you have completed our spreadsheet. Work with a partner in your group to make sure your expenses are about right for you!

Once you have done that, please share it with your group and (*gently*) work to critique each other's work. Some of our cost estimates might be just guesses at this point, so it is SUPER helpful to have other folks take a look at your estimates and make suggestions.

Please be thoughtful in this task and don't just say "Yeah, it's fine" (PLEASE?)

Most of us have never even heard of an Elevator Sp each (sometimes called an Elevator Pitch -- as in "pitching an idea" to someone)

HERE are some hints/tips/suggestions on how to do that-- please review those now

Notice that this Elevator Pitch is all about pitching yourself for a job.

Your goal in THIS activity is exactly the reverse of that: Make a pitch to someone as if you are trying to HIRE that person for your company!

Please work on writing that pitch now.

When you are done, practice giving the pitch out loud. You are welcome to get up and move around if you prefer to find a quiet place to practice by yourself.

Now please partner up in your group: If there are four of you in a group, please partner thusly:

RED and ORANGE

BLUE and GREEN

If there are only two or three to a group, please work together.

If there is only one person in a group, please find another group to join for today!

This part gets a wee bit tougher!

Make sure you can give your Elevator Pitch WITHOUT notes. So practice, practice, practice.

When you are ready: Find a person designated with the SAME color as you in ANOTHER group and go give them the pitch.

After that, find another person in one more group with your same color designation and pitch them too!

My goal is that we are ALL WELL PRACTICED with your elevator pitch when I return tomorrow!
